Ahoy there! Welcome to my gameweek 8 preview. I’m sure we are all incredibly excited about the prospect of Manchester City v Liverpool (probably will end up 0-0). I’m here to tell you the players who a) have had the most shots in the box over the past six gameweeks and b) play the teams who have conceded the most shots in the box. I’m thrilled this week. Aleksandar Mitrovic isn’t in the f*cking top 6 🎉🎉🎉!
Let’s get going then!
Six: Buyako Saka (£5.3m) v AVL (h)

This is interesting! Saka is in the top 20 for shots in the box out of all players in the last 6 gameweeks. He has amassed a total of 10 shots in the box. Meanwhile Ho’s opponents Aston Villa have suffered a drop in form and lost some of their early season defensive sturdiness. They have conceded the joint third highest shots in the box over the last 6 games (54). His aSITB score is 5.33.
Five: Timo Werner (£9.3m) v SHU (h)

After a slow start, Time has begun to find form with 3 goals in his last 3 games. He has had a total of 10 shots in the box in his past 6 games. He plays Sheffield United, who have really struggled this season. They’ve failed to win this season and have failed to keep a clean sheet. They’ve conceded the joint third highest amount of shots in the box of all teams (54). Werner’s aSITB score is 5.33
Four: Harry Kane (£11m) v WBA (a)

THE captain this week. Effective ownership likely be 565%. Kane has been a revelation this season. He has six goals in his last six games and has had 19 shots in the box in the last six games (third highest). West Brom have suffered defensively and are still one of the leagues “whipping boys”. They’ve conceded the most goals of any team this season (16) and have conceded 46 shots in the box.
Kane’s aSITB score is 5.42.
Three: Che Adams (£5.8m) v NEW (h)

Adams will lead the line for Saints against Newcastle, with Danny Ings set to miss out. He has followed Werner in the “slow start but starting to impress” section of FPL forwards. He has had 11 shots in the box in his last 6 games. He’s playing a Newcastle United side who are the only team to concede over 100 shots in total in the last six games (102). They’ve conceded the second highest amount of shots in the box (55).
Adams’ aSITB score is 5.50.
Two: Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.7m) v MUN (h)

AKA Inzaghi. Calvert-Lewin has smashed it this season but has struggled recently due to the absence of Everton’s creative forces (James Rodriguez and Digne). DCL has amassed a total of 19 shots on target (third highest over the past 6 games). He plays a Manchester United side who have conceded the joint highest amount of goals in the past 6 games (13). They’ve conceded 47 shots in the box in that same number of games. DCL’s aSITB score is 5.50.
One: Patrick Bamford (£6m) v CRY (a)

Rodrigo is self isolating so it means Paddy B will definitely start. He’s proved the doubters wrong and has managed to become a very popular FPL asset. He’s bagged the most shots in the box of any player over the past six games (23) and he has scored 5 goals. He plays a Crystal Palace side, who have conceded the most shots in the box in the past six games (57). Yes, that’s right, its the highest shots in the box taker against the highest shots in the box conceded (past 6 games). Bamford’s aSITB score is 6.67..
All the best for GW8!
Until next time,
